Kind Year Description

Radix was a mapping system aimed at museums and galleries. Displays would replace static map and RFID tags would be used to track guests and their viewing habits so that when they view the map it would detect them and show them other exhibits they may be interested in based on the interest it detected in similar exhibits.

The branding and name was my creation, the name is Latin for 'root' which refers to how the map is the start of a visitors exploration of a space and how the system would provoke a more natural branch-like movement through the space. A slightly modified VAG-Rounded was used for the logotype for the restrained yet distinctive forms and its technical history, as the public face of a Radix installation would be visually on brand with the space that is using it.
