I was briefed to work on the brand for the Magazine project about the Art Departments at Staffordshire University. There were some attempts before but they were considered too bland and not specific enough to Staffordshire. I took inspiration from the rich ceramics history of the area and devised a crest as you would find on a ceramics piece, however I replaced traditional crest elements with illustrations about the different disciplines the magazine would cover.
